The mode is a measure of central tendency that represents the most frequent value in a data set. Unlike the mean (sum divided by count) and median (central value), the mode indicates which value appears most often. A set can have one mode (unimodal), two modes (bimodal), multiple modes (multimodal), or no mode (amodal, when all values appear the same number of times).

Types of Mode
Unimodal Mode
Set with only one most frequent value. Example: {1, 2, 2, 3, 4} has single mode = 2.
Bimodal Mode
Set with two equally frequent values. Example: {1, 1, 2, 2, 3} has modes 1 and 2.
Multimodal Mode

Amodal Distribution
